FACIAL RECONSTRUCTION II

EDITH PIAF

For One night only.

MICROSCOPIC LIFE DRAWING

Microscopic Life Drawing at Imperial College. Abandoning the drawing materials, I felt more at ease capturing the images with my camera through the microscope. This felt a better way of preserving what I could see rather than making quick sketches. On the slides a number of weird and wonderful things could be observed from embryos to silk worms.

RE-IMAGINING THE LINE

Drawing at the Tate Modern for Re-Imagining the Line. For 6 months we attend drawing classes hosted by a different artist. The session featured was tutored by Derek Boshier.

ASHES

AT THE CREMATORIUM

Photography project in collaboration with Jess Barton's Project on Death. A visit to a crematorium objectively recorded the process of the daily ritual experienced there. With access before the start of service we experienced this place without emotion and felt oddly at ease.

CICRCULATION

Life Drawing of the circulatory system. This workshop taught us about the heart and its function in the body. With in depth explanation into its vital parts, we transferred this knowledge into drawing a life model concentrating not on what we saw but what we imagined within.
